The International Workshop (December 08-10, 2020, Moscow time) aims to promote scientific exchange and development of novel ideas on tracking, reconstruction, and physics performance studies at FAIR and NICA in heavy-ion collisions at future CBM (FAIR) and MPD (NICA) experiments.
The first day will be dedicated to the following lectures:
- Introductory lecture related to HIC at FAIR-NICA energies, Prof. Peter Senger (GSI, NRNU MEPhI)
- Short-lived resonances as probes of the medium produced in heavy-ion collisions, Prof. Victor Riabov (NRC Kurchatov Institute - PNPI)
- Vorticity and polarization, Dr. Takafumi Niida (University of Tsukuba)
- Overview of direct photon production in heavy-ion collisions and estimations for NICA-FAIR energies, Dr. Dmitri Peresunko (NRC Kurchatov Institute)
- Dilepton measurements, Prof. Tetyana Galatyuk (GSI)
- Track reconstruction in heavy-ion collisions, Dr. Sergey Gorbunov (GSI)
- Spectra and Hypernuclei, Dr. Zhangbu Xu (Brookhaven National Laboratory)
The second and third days of the Workshop will include talks dedicated to the following main topics:
- Track, vertex and resonance reconstruction methods applied to collider and fixed-target experiments
- Performance studies for the future CBM and MPD experiments
